Listening to Nature to Understand Its Secrets

Man’s passion in service of the Earth and its generosity.

The first effect of love
is to inspire deep respect.

Blaise Pascal

A fragile and precious balance

In the Sicilian hinterland, far from tourist destinations and well-trodden paths, an extraordinary landscape embraces the AMÍO lentil and chickpea fields. Here, it is nature that shapes humankind, not the other way around, in a daily dialogue made of silence and care. Those who cultivate these fields have learned that love for the land is inextricably linked with love for the soil, and for this reason, they are willing to respect its rhythms and needs.

This land offers some of our organic products.

What Italy is

A community born on Instagram that takes its audience on a journey through the wonders of Italy, where history, culture, and people are told through images, colors, and words.

Everyone we meet knows that through hard work and attention to detail, excellence can be achieved, a fundamental element for making a difference in Sicily and in every other region of Italy.

At certain times of the year,
we become observers.
Nature follows its own rhythms.

Sowing, waiting, observing the growth of the plants, harvesting. There can be no human interference. Here, the union between two worlds, the human and the natural, must be perfectly balanced. Man cannot ask for more than what the land, in its own time, has to offer.

We’ve been farming organically since the very beginning,
long before it became a trend.
And we wouldn’t farm any other way.

The more time we spend in Santo Stefano, the more we realize how true this statement is. From the lentil fields to the chickpea crops, kilometer after kilometer, we find ourselves immersed in a land where organic farming is a deeply rooted philosophy, embraced wholeheartedly and without compromise.

Respect for the land, for what is grown, for the values carried forward, and for the knowledge behind it all.

Our land must be cared for and respected.

Every day, shortly after dawn, people from nearby villages arrive to tend to the fields. We can only speak of “care,” because the relationship between people and the land here is constant, daily. Watching those who work on the farm, the way they move, it becomes clear that this is exactly the case.
